JADE MOUNTAIN BAMBOO - COME VISIT OUR STORE
In addition to more than 80 species of bamboo, aquatic plants, ornamental grasses, bonsai, hardy palms, hardy bananas, and hardy gingers, there are acres of asian landscaping with ponds, plants, and peace. We also sell a variety of exquisite garden ornaments, and in our office, we have an exciting collection of bamboo books. Inside our store we have books on bamboo, building bamboo fences, ornamental grasses, Japanese maples and Japanese garden design. There is also a display of the many sizes of cured bamboo poles that we import from China, ranging in size from pencil-size to 6-inch diameter giants in lengths from 8 to 12 feet, plus everything in between. We also have samples of bamboo flooring from China (in several patterns and colors). Handouts for all the plants and items we carry are also available. We sincerely invite you to come, learn, and enjoy the serenity. Our store was formally a 'Homestead House' build in the early 1890's. At various times it had been used as a barn to house small farm animals and as a storage shed for god-knows-what. In 1999, when Jade Mountain moved in, we began renovating the building which was, by then, in a state of total disrepair. After its renovation, much of the original building is still standing, and now it meets the necessary building codes; it even has cable TV, hot water, a fridge, a heater and a microwave.
